Renovation of the Earth Science Museum is underway

The gardens and grounds, Granite Hill Nursery, picnic areas and the Gift Shop will all remain open while the Earth Science Museum undergoes renovation.  When complete the newly renovated museum will accommodate the extensive paleontology donation from The Roynon Foundation, and select paleontology specimens from Keith and Judy Roynon's personal collection.  We expect to be complete this winter.

This link will take you an article about the Roynon Museum and the closing.

Friends of Roynon Museum salute its founder as collection prepares to relocate

Rock Collecting with the Dinosaurs

Join a Learning Expedition into the past with a JMDC Guide.  Saturday at 10:00 am, noon, 2:00 pm and Sunday at 1:00 pm and 3:00 pm Families of Explorers or Solo Explorers will have fun while learning about Rocks, Minerals and how Fossils are formed.  A walking tour looking, talking and taking pictures of our different Dinosaur sculptures in the lower gardens.  You will then move into the reserved part of property to continue looking at more Dinosaurs sculptures and end by making a personal collection of twelve rocks, mineral or fossils.  Come out and explore the past with JMDC.

Toddler Time

With many of our Staff on vacation in July we will offer Toddler Time on July 25th and 26th.  We will be back to our regular Thursday and Friday schedule each week in August.

Join JMDC for fun and learning during Toddler Time.  Tiny Tot Explorers, ages 2 to 4 years old, with their adult partner will have fun exploring and making discoveries with one of our Guides.   Everything starts in the S.T.E.A.M. Station in the Gift Shop.  From there we may move to the Dino Den or another area for fun and adventure. Activities are S.T.E.A.M. based (science, technology, engineering, arts, and math) and designed for fun while learning.  Look forward to you joining us!

Cost is $10.00 plus Eventbrite fees per Tiny Tot Explorer.
